Request for Proposals (RFP) Agricultural / Hay Land Lease The City of Watertown is seeking proposals for the lease of approximately 732 acres of agricultural/hay land located in Codington County, South Dakota. Lease Terms Initial two-year lease Option for one (1) additional two-year renewal term. Property Description The lease area includes the following tracts: Southeast Quarter (SE ¼) of Section 22 Southern Half (S ½) of Section 23 Southwest Quarter (SW ¼) of Section 25 Section 26 (except the Southwest Quarter, SW ¼) Eastern Half (E ½) of Section 35, all located in Township 117 North (T117N), Range 53 West (R53W), of the 5th Principal Meridian. Submission Requirements Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: “Agricultural Land Proposal Attention: Finance Department” Some row crops are not allowed. (Corn, Millet, Sorghum, Sunflowers, Barley, Wheat) Deliver proposals to the City of Watertown Finance Department. Proposals are due at the Finance Office at City Hall by 2:00 PM, November 21st, 2025. Subletting of the rented parcel is not allowed.
