Working with City of Charleston staff, the consultant will perform the following tasks: Research and assemble data regarding areas of current and anticipated flooding in the City (including but not limited to relevant City data sets such as topography, street elevation, sea level rise projections and other information to be determined) Independently verify and analyze current data regarding areas experiencing flooding, providing the City with updated data sets as needed Provide expert consultation regarding the impact of climate change on the City’s built and natural environment, including but not limited to: o sea level rise o increasing severity of storm events o change in groundwater conditions Provide expert consultation regarding recommended land use changes after considering current plans for flooding and sea level rise mitigation throughout the City
