Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contract’s Scope of Work includes, but is not strictly limited to, leak repairs, associated roof work, and the cleaning of roof drain baskets, scuppers, conductors, and gutters. The cleaning functions will be performed at the District’s request. The District will request these cleanings twice a year, approximately six (6) months apart. The District will not provide the Contractor with the use of any District-owned equipment, lifts, or tools under this contract. Job and Weather Conditions The Contractor shall: A. Suspend all application and installations activities during inclement weather unless directed otherwise by District Master Foreman. B. Protect building and adjacent surfaces from spilling and overspray. C. Do not permit excessive traffic or material storage on completed roof surfaces. Associated Roof Work On occasion, roof leak repair will reveal the need for additional work in the same area. The roof repair Contractor may be hired by the District to do small amounts of additional work at the same site. Such associated work could include installation of roof drains, replacing rotting or damaged roof decking, gutters, or fascia boards, etc. In the event of such associated repairs, the cost of labor and materials shall be governed by the unit prices in the contract. No instance of associated roof work at a single District site shall exceed the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) unless otherwise authorized by a Procurement official. Response Time and Scheduling The Contractor shall respond only to an authorized District Maintenance Representative’s requests for service. The Contractor’s work schedule shall be determined by the District’s Master Foreman. The District Maintenance Department will schedule both the days and the hours to be worked.
