Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the intent of the Horry County Schools Office of Procurement to solicit offers from qualified vendors to provide kitchen floor refinishing services for the Early College High School within the District in accordance with all requirements stated herein. These specifications cover professional services to furnish all supervision, labor, materials, travel, transportation, supplies and equipment necessary to provide the services requested. Workmanship and Installation: 1. Work shall be performed by reputable, competent professionals who are authorized and/or certified to install according to manufacturer’s recommendations. Evidence of authorization and/or certification will be required and must be submitted with your bid. 2. Contractor and installation crew will be responsible for moving furniture and kitchen equipment out of and back into the areas where the work is to be done. An allowance of $2,500.00 is to be included in the bid price to cover moving this equipment and furniture. The District will be responsible for disconnecting all major electronic and kitchen equipment. 3. Verification of actual measurements shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. 4. Contractor shall be responsible for installation/refinishing without damage to the District’s property, equipment, and personnel. The Contractor shall be liable for all injury, damage, or loss to persons and property. The project shall be carried out entirely at the Contractor’s risk and the District assumes no responsibility or obligation whatsoever. 5. The Work shall be performed between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm and shall be complete by July 31, 2019. 6. The Contractor shall assure that the areas to be refinished are in satisfactory condition. All lumps must be removed and ridges and minor pits filled with an acceptable type filler complying with the manufacturer’s instructions. All unusual conformities in the floor are to be reviewed with the District. Obstructions such as doorstops, protruding or flat electrical and terminal connectors are to be removed and replaced after refinishing work is complete. Contractor is to work with the District’s Maintenance staff as necessary. 7. Contractor shall accept all responsibility for unacceptable work due to improper floor conditions. 8. Contractor shall remove trash and debris from the site accruing from his operations at the end of each working day and upon completion of the Work. Disposal of any existing flooring and cove base removed by the Contractor is the Contractor’s responsibility
