Specifications include, but are not limited to: The overall purpose of a Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) market study is to provide a detailed assessment of the feasibility of a proposed project in a specific market area. Studies submitted to SC Housing as part of an LIHTC proposal must meet all of the requirements of the Market Study Requirements in South Carolina’s Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP). The 2020 Market Study Requirements are attached (ATTM 001). SC Housing receives applications for projects that range from twenty-four (24) to ninety-six (96) units in size with a regulated number of units reserved for accessibility by the disabled. The mix of projects will include new construction, adaptive reuse, or acquisition/rehabilitation. These projects will be located in rural and urban areas throughout the state. The Contractor will have approximately six (6) weeks to evaluate all market studies submitted as part of the LIHTC Program.
