The North Charleston Sewer District is accepting Bids from qualified licensed Contractors to coordinate the construction and installation of near-term improvements to the existing grit chambers at the Felix C. Davis Wastewater Treatment Plant. Improvements include the replacement and upsizing of the existing parallel influent force mains as well as the construction of a new influent box to receive this influent flow. Additional improvements include, but are not limited to, structural repairs, recoating of tank walls, replacement of influent gates and grit pumps, and installation of a new bypass pipeline around the facility. Work will require a full facility bypass for the duration of in tank construction activities. NCSD will provide integration of controls for modifications to the existing grit control system. Bids will be accepted until 2:00PM, February, 18, 2020, at which time all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud at the NCSD Administrative Offices, 7225 Stall Road, North Charleston.
