Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work will include the design, provision and installation of Fire Preemption software and hardware that will integrate fully with the existing traffic signal infrastructure and the Fire Department’s emergency vehicles. All preemption hardware shall be designed to integrate into existing traffic signal control structures and system installation shall be the sole responsibility of the offeror for both the vehicle installation as well as the traffic signal installation. The system shall have the capability of logging all preemption events as well as providing summary reports using raw data collected by the field units, as described herein. The purpose of the project is to provide an improved and efficient passage of emergency vehicles throughout the Town’s road system. The timeline for this project shall be one hundred twenty (120) calendar days from the commencement date in the Notice to Proceed.
