Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. regularly and systematically inspect, adjust, clean, lubricate and when conditions warrant repair or replace: machines, motors, generators and controller parts including but not limited to worms, gears, thrust bearings, bearings, commutators, rotating elements, coils, contacts, resistors, magnet frames. Contractor shall also inspect, adjust, clean, lubricate and when necessary repair or replace interlocks, car and hatch door operators and hangers, tracks, door closer and signal systems. b. keep the guide rails properly lubricated, secured and aligned at all times except where roller guides are used and when necessary renew guide shoe gibs or guide rollers in order to assure smooth and quiet operation. c. periodically examine all safety devices and governors and equalize the tension on all hoisting ropes/cables. All safety tests required by ANSI-A17.1 shall be performed when due and in the presence of a State/Agency official or his designee.
