Specifications include, but are not limited to: Empty all ashtrays and canisters and wipe the outside of the receptacle with a damp cloth (wash if needed). Empty all trash cans (wash if needed). Separating the regular trash and recycle trash (Blue Trash Cans). Can liners, will be used and provided by the Agency. Collect all materials clearly marked with the word “trash”. Remove all trash and boxes from premises. Recycle containers and a dumpster will be provided in the back of the building. Break down boxes to prevent overflow of recycle containers and dumpster. Clean around dumpster. Report problems to contract coordinator. Spot clean all interior horizontal and vertical surfaces. Sweep all uncarpeted floors and mats (including stairwells, offices and entrance areas). All floors must be kept clean, dirt-free and trash-free. Spots or stains will be removed immediately (spray buff, if necessary). All carpet shall be vacuumed on Tuesday and Thursday. Clean and shine all chrome fixtures including drinking fountains and moldings. Spot clean all glass surfaces, including entrance areas and glass partitions to remove handprints, smudges, or other obvious soil. Sweep outside entrances. Clean up trash, paper, cigarette butts, litter, and bird droppings in and around the building (wash down, if necessary). Using a cloth or sponge and neutral detergent solution from a plastic spray bottle, spot clean walls, doors, door facings, columns, and other building surfaces to remove handprints, smudges, and other obvious soil. Special clean up areas which have had furniture, equipment, cartons or carpet moved. These areas should be brought up to the same level of cleanliness and appearance as surrounding or adjacent areas within a reasonable amount of time. Restroom/Shower Maintenance Replenish all restroom supplies. The contractor must ensure sufficient quantities are in each restroom to last for two days. Sweep floor. Wet mop with disinfectant cleaner or scrub with soap and water in order to keep the floor clean and sanitary. Wash, sanitize, deodorize and disinfect all traps, drains, toilets, seats, and urinals. Provide deodorant bars for all bathrooms. Clean sink and sanitize. Damp wipe and polish all chrome surfaces (to include shower heads, mixing valves) and mirrors. Dust and/or wash all walls, ledges, grills, benches, lockers, and partitions to keep dust-free, dirt-free and clean. Empty all trash receptacles (wash if needed). Plastic liners will be used. Canteen/Break Room Maintenance Using a cloth or sponge and neutral detergent solution from a plastic spray bottle, wipe tables, chairs, counter, and the outside of the refrigerators and microwave. Sweep floor. Wet mop with disinfectant cleaner or scrub with soap and water in order to keep the floor clean and sanitary. Clean sink and damp wipe and polish all chrome surfaces. Empty all trash receptacles (wash if needed). Plastic liners will be used. Stairs Collect and remove litter Damp wipe handrails. Sweep the stair treads and collect the soil at the bottom of each flight. Using a well wrung mop and neutral detergent solution, completely mop the stair treads, Report burned out bulbs to the contract coordinator. Spot clean doors, walls, and other building surfaces along the stairway to remove handprints, smudges, and other visible soil.
