The School District of Greenville County (District) invites interested firms to submit a Bid to provide Curtain Wall and Window Repair - Lakeview Middle School for Greenville County Schools students in accordance with the specifications and terms and conditions of this solicitation. District staff will coordinate with awarded vendor after issuance of award. This project will involve the removal of existing two-storied, two-sided, curtain wall system and replacement with new, two-sided, curtain wall system at Lakeview Middle School. Along with window replacement at several locations; this work will require wall flashing repairs at roof level. All roof repairs associated with this project to be performed by Allcon of Greenville. There will be a $50,000 Contingency included into the Base Bid. Scope of Work: Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the quality window glass repair and replacement at Lakeview MS. The work will include, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: 1. Remove the existing curtain wall system shown within the drawings along with existing trim and associated flashing at roof level. 2. Remove the existing windows, mullions, and glazing shown within the drawings and associated trim, flooring and wall elements necessary to install new windows. 3. Replacement with new window system, trim and associated flashing. 4. Furnish and install new curtain wall units. 5. Furnish and install new setting blocks. 6. Furnish and install new joint plugs. 7. Furnish and install new exterior gaskets. 8. Furnish and install new pressure plates. 9. Furnish and install new cover plates. 10. Furnish and install new sealant over the exterior gaskets. 11. Furnish and install new backer rods and sealant at joints and adjacent walls. 12. Furnish and install any miscellaneous items as required for a complete system.
