Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Georgetown County Department of Parks & Recreation is looking for a firm to construct a splash pad for children between the ages of 6 years old to 15 years old. The Splash Pad will be constructed beside the County’s Choppee Regional Recreational Center. The County’s water supply and electrical service will be available onsite. The construction site currently serves as a multiple use athletic field and is relatively level. The splash pad will be an unmanned facility and shall be a zero-water depth facility with a centrally located touch activation device. The pad will be a recirculation system with an in-ground reservoir. The successful Contractor shall be required to provide all labor, equipment, materials, permits, insurance, licenses, and supplies to accomplish the design/build of a splash pad to include the following: 1. New, medium-sized broom finished concrete spray pad with maximum flow of 50 GPM (Gallons Per Minute) or less. 2. At a minimum, six, (6) age-appropriate steel spray/play features. The spray features shall be removable and include winterization covers/plugs. 3. A cut sheet or other component specification shall be supplied for all components proposed. 5. An appropriately sized, fenced perimeter overspray area. 6. All necessary piping and electrical components. 7. A water storage system is to consist of an FPR (fiber reinforced plastic) underground reservoir appropriately sized for the proposed features. The storage tank must have a piped overflow and manhole or hatch. 8. A skid mounted recirculation system that includes all necessary pumps, filters, valves, piping and backflow prevention device. 9. Include a programmable sequencing controller for the system. 10. Include a distribution manifold specifically designed for a splash pad system.
