Specifications include, but are not limited to: Install approximately 915 linear feet (field verify) of five feet 9-gauge fence around the playground as shown on the site plan/ aerial photo. Five (5) 12’ double gates shall be installed as noted on the drawing. Verify exact locations with the district project manager before setting posts. All fencing is to be knuckle-knuckle, 9-gauge commercial fabric with 2.5" Schedule 40 terminal posts. The line posts must be 2" schedule 40, and the top rail is to be 1-5/8” 0.69 galvanized metal. 7-gauge galvanized metal tension wire to be installed/ attached along the bottom of the fence fabric and pulled tight. All materials are to be hot-dipped galvanized. Fabric ties are to be twisted at least twice. All holes are to be back-filled level with the surrounding ground and concrete finished 2" or more below grade. Fence fabric is to be installed 2" above the existing grade to allow for weed trimming. All threaded bolts are to be cut off within a ¼” of the nut and facing away from the play areas. No drop rods are to be installed at gates. Weld a heavy duty galvanized chain to each side of the double gate closure point for pad lock attachment. All welds are to be sprayed with galvanized paint. Gates are to be commercial grade with cast 90 degree malleable heavy duty hinges, schedule 40 tubing and 9-gauge fabric. All post openings must be securely capped with rounded galvanized post caps.
