2.1 General Requirements: • Remove existing carpet and base as necessary. • Prepare the floor for installation (cleaning, leveling, etc.). • Supply and install new commercial-grade carpet tile throughout designated areas. • Install new cove base where required. • Coordinate all work to minimize disruption to staff and patrons. 2.2 Project Area: • Approximately 4,500 square feet of carpeted area. • Includes: main floor reading areas, study rooms, and circulation desk area. 2.3 Materials: • Carpet: J&J Kinetex 24”x24” carpet tiles or similar equivalent. • Color: To be selected by library management from vendor’s standard options. • Adhesive: Manufacturers-specified glue • Cove base: 4" rubber base, color coordinated with carpet.
