Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Beaufort‐Jasper Water & Sewer Authority (BJWSA) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify a qualified professional engineering consulting firm to provide a full range of engineering services to support the implementation of the May River Watershed Sewer Master Plan (i.e. Project). These services will be provided under contract with the BJWSA, with funding provided by the South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) through the South Carolina Infrastructure Investment Program (SCIIP) under SCIIP Grant #A-23-C015. The objective of the project is to reduce the number of parcels in the Stoney Creek portion of the May River watershed served by septic tanks by connecting the parcels to a public sewer system. The May River Watershed Sewer Master Plan (Master Plan) was a joint planning effort prepared by the County of Beaufort (County), the Town of Bluffton (Town), and BJWSA in April 2014 to identify parcels in the May River watershed currently served by septic tanks which could be connected to public sewer. The objective of the Project is to reduce the number of parcels in the Stoney Creek portion of the May River watershed served by septic tanks by connecting the parcels to a public sewer system. Results of 2014 Master Plan identified six (6) areas in the Stoney Creek portion of the May River watershed where public sewer systems could be installed to eliminate septic tanks by connecting the parcels to public sewer. One of the sewer system project alternatives considered in the 2014 Master Plan was designated the Stoney Creek Vacuum Sewer Project
