The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate Building M1, which has deteriorated due to environmental exposure and the nature of its operational functions. The project includes the installation of metal wall panels on the east, south, and west elevations of the building; cleaning and removing all loose surface rust from the existing exposed surfaces of the metal roof deck, bar joists, steel beams, and steel columns; applying a corrosion-resistant coating; coating the roof; and painting the safety rails and the exterior of the building. Building M1 consists of approximately 5,700 square feet of non-enclosed space. It houses the water pumping and filtration system for the wave pool, including associated distribution systems.
