Applied Behavior Therapy Certification Requirements Master's Degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field; Certified as a BCBA through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board; The Contractor must insure that ALL persons performing work for the Contractor must have a current SLED criminal inquiry, nationwide sex offender check, and drug screening report. � Focus 1 – twenty-five (25) hours weekly Direct ABA therapy provided by a certified RBT or BCBA 1. Focus on extinction of self-injurious behaviors 2. Focus on extinction of elopement 3. Focus on extinction of property destruction 4. Focus on establishing functional communication skills through a picture exchange system or augmentative and alternative communication device 5. Focus on developing adaptive behaviors such as but not limited self-care, leisure time management, and following demands or requests � Focus 2 – minimum two (2) family consultation visits per month 1. One minimum monthly visit in-home consultation with parents and family members to practice generalization of adaptive behaviors and establishing functional communication skills between family and student 2. One minimum monthly in clinic consultation with parents and family members to provide teaching trials, practice, and feedback for generalizing adaptive behaviors and establishing functional communication skills between family and student 3. Telehealth consultation services provided to parents and family members � Focus 3 – Case Management 1. Consultation and feedback time between RBTs and BCBA 2. Case Management time required to develop, progress monitor, and analyze data by a BCBA 3. Travel time and mileage reimbursement, if appropriate 4. Schedule IEP meetings, feedback to district personnel and other consultative services provided � Focus 4 - Cancelation Policies 1. Cancelation of services due to student absence, unscheduled early dismissal, and district for reasons other than inclement weather, scheduled holidays and intercessions, and natural disaster and other acts of nature. 2. Long-term cancelation agreement for ending services by either party 3. Short term agreement for scheduled doctors’ visits and other appointments or scheduled events
