1. The contractor shall pressure wash and scrape courts to remove mildew, loose coating, and debris, including chewing gum. 2. The contractor shall flood the courts to identify any low areas. Low areas that hold enough water to cover a nickel shall be leveled using the appropriate leveling compound. 3. If the contractor determines that the court base is unstable or deteriorated beyond resurfacing, the contractor shall notify the district’s designee immediately. Remedial work beyond the scope of this solicitation may be competitively sourced separately. 4. The contractor shall level and patch all low areas with the appropriate material. 5. The contractor shall apply a fiberglass membrane, or approved alternate method, over all hairline surface cracks. 6. The contractor shall make repairs to large cracks in the court surfaces. Large cracks are defined as having an opening that is the thickness of a nickel. The contractor shall provide a crack repair system that offers an installer’s warranty period of at least three years. The warranty period will begin after the owner’s acceptance of the work. 7. The contractor shall apply two (2) coats of Novasurface acrylic base coats over the entire surface of the courts at a rate of .1 gallons per square yard. 8. The contractor shall apply two (2) coats of Novacrylic color coats at a rate of .1 gallon per square yard. Color to be selected by the owner. Provide a color chart with your bid. 9. The contractor shall layout and restripe the court(s) per ASBA specifications. 10. The contractor shall sand, prime and repaint the existing net posts. The contractor shall use enamel paint and apply two coats of finish. The paint color shall be black.
