Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County of Greenville (County) is requesting proposals for Timber Management Consultant Services on solid waste landfill sites owned by the County. The solid waste landfills that require timber management include the: Twin Chimneys Landfill in Honea Path, SC; Blackberry Valley Landfill in Greenville, SC; Piedmont Landfill in Piedmont, SC; A. Management services should include adherence to an existing timber management plan, and facilitation of timber sales. The successful vendor is required to meet South Carolina Forestry Commission requirements. B. Vendor shall be a Certified Forester by the Society of American Foresters and must have demonstrated a high quality of experience. C. The vendor will follow an existing forest management plan to determine best management practices for the next five years. D. The vendor will facilitate timber sales in accordance with approved forest management plan. Services should include delineation of area/trees to be cut, solicitation of bids from approved timber buyers, and management of quantities. E. Each project must be supervised by a South Carolina Registered Consulting Forester listed on the SC Forestry Commission website.
