1.1 Pavement Markings Fast Dry Waterborne Paint: described herein shall include the furnishing of all implements, machinery, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, labor, personal protective equipment, licenses, fuel, incidentals, work zone traffic control and associated devices to install new or refresh old 4” pavement lines, including both white and yellow markings. Skip lines will be paid for by the total length that material is applied. This work will include 2’ mini skips and 10’ skip lines (both white and yellow). All work shall be subject to the supervision and satisfaction of the Department. • All work should be completed prior to December 15, 2025 • All work should conform to the SCDOT 2007 Standard Specifications for Highway Construction • Raised Pavement Markers shall be placed at intervals according to Standard Drawing 630-205 • The Contractor shall inspect the traffic control work zone at regular intervals to ensure the maintenance of the zone and the proper placement of devices at all times. All Work Zone Traffic Control devices, except for Category IV devices, shall comply with the requirements of the National Cooperative Highway Research Program Report 350 (NCHRP Report 350). • Mobilization: All work listed on a single order is to be completed during a single mobilization, and each work order will result in a single mobilization payment • Yellow 4” Solid Line Thermoplastic 90 mil – this work includes all materials, equipment and labor necessary to install new 4” pavement lines yellow in color. Permanent Yellow pavement markers – this includes all materials, equipment and labor necessary to install new pavement markers. Markers shall be bi-directional and yellow in color. They shall be installed according to The 2025 SCDOT Standards for Highway Construction. • White 4” Solid Line Thermoplastic 90 mil - this work includes all materials, equipment and labor necessary to install new 4” pavement lines white in color.
