Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Garbage Collection: The successful bidder, on each collection day, will be responsible to collect the following from each household unit served: One (1) ninety-six (96) gallon roll cart, provided by the successful bidder, containing household garbage. Garbage must be inside cart for collection. Garbage outside of the can will not be collected. b. Yard Debris Collection: The successful bidder must provide a separate truck for collection service once every week for yard trimmings only for each household unit served. The successful bidder will be responsible for collecting the following from each household unit served: i. Yard debris such as leaves and pine straw or other wood placed in either a container or an appropriate paper yard waste bag not exceeding sixty-five (65 lbs.) pounds per container or bag; logs, limbs, brush, stumps and all like materials not exceeding four (4”) inches in diameter and four (4’) feet in length. Live Christmas trees of any size will be collected. ii. The successful bidder shall be required to remove up to the equivalent of two (2) collection truck hoppers of yard waste during any single week of service. It is estimated that two (2) collection truck hoppers of yard waste shall equal the approximate amount of yard waste to occupy an area of four feet cubed (4’ long x 4’ wide x 4’ tall). c. White Goods and Bulky Item Collection: The successful bidder must provide a truck for collection service every week of each month for white goods and bulky items for each household unit served. This collection service is a requirement of the contract, and the successful bidder can fulfill this requirement by having residents call for white goods and bulky item collection when needed. Collection must be scheduled within one week of request. White goods must not be crushed and should be handled carefully to avoid the release of Freon. Bulky items include furniture, small appliances and other similar dry trash items. This does not include construction debris or electronic waste (TVs, Computers, Printers).
