School District Five of Lexington and Richland Counties is soliciting quotations from qualified professional firms to provide signage design, standards development, documentation, and bid-ready specifications for the update, replacement, and standardization of existing signage across multiple District facilities. The selected Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and professional services necessary to perform a comprehensive review, documentation, and design standardization of existing signage, and to develop materials required for the District to issue a future Invitation for Bid (IFB) for signage removal and replacement. Services shall be provided for the following seven (7) District locations: • Dutch Fork Middle School • Dutch Fork High School • Irmo Middle School • CrossRoads Middle School (currently CrossRoads Intermediate School) • Irmo High School • Spring Hill Middle School (currently Chapin Middle School) • Chapin Middle (currently Chapin Intermediate School) Work under this contract is limited to planning, documentation, design standards, and bid package development and does not include fabrication, installation, construction, or permitting unless otherwise specified. SPECIFICATIONS: The Contractor shall provide professional signage planning, documentation, and design services to support the District’s future issuance of an Invitation for Bid for the removal and replacement of existing signage at seven (7) District locations. A. General Requirements: The Contractor shall perform the following tasks and provide the associated documentation and materials: 1. Brand Standards Review and Consolidation a. Review, organize, and consolidate existing District brand standards and graphic elements, including logos, color palettes, typography, and related materials as they apply to signage at each location. 2. Signage Standardization a. Develop a District-wide signage standards guide defining recommended sign types, materials, substrates, finishes, fabrication methods, and logo applications for interior and exterior signage. 3. Existing Signage Documentation a. Conduct on-site visits to all seven (7) locations to identify, document, and catalog existing branded signage. 4. Photography and Measurements a. Photograph, measure, and categorize all existing sign types, including both interior and exterior signage 5. Sign Schedule Development a. Prepare a comprehensive sign schedule identifying signage to be replaced, updated, retained, or removed. The schedule shall indicate recommended substrates and applications for interior versus exterior use. b. The Contractor shall ensure that all signage identified in the sign schedule, including types, locations, and installation conditions, is verified and documented as compliant with all current ADA and applicable federal, state, and local accessibility requirements. 6. Design Mockups and Site Maps
