Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is for a company that can design and install a key card access system, burglar/fire alarm system using the current NFPA 72 Fire Alarm Code, which will alert public safety when in need, and a surveillance camera system to record activity in and around the buildings. The system should be designed to easily limit access to employees based on their responsibilities with the Town as well as remove access when an employee leaves the Town. Currently all doors in both buildings are only accessible with a physical key and an alarm keypad. As well as exterior doors, there should also be a keycard access panel for the Evidence Room and Equipment Room of the Police Station. Each of these two locations will also need to be replaced with a steel door and frame/casing. Access at each keycard location should be documented each time someone enters/exists. Fire and carbon monoxide detectors need to be added to both buildings on each level. The camera system needs to be for the exterior of both buildings a well as one camera inside of both buildings to monitor staff and public interactions. Cameras should be able to zoom with at least a 4K resolution. In both buildings a “panic button” needs to be available to alert public safety discretely in times of extreme duress.
