Specifications include, but are not limited to: The District is seeking a company to provide security guard services to staff various locations with weapon detection services. The District will need a minimum of 7 full time staff to work 8 hour shifts (currently 7:30AM-3:30PM) for the 180 day school year. This equates to 10,080 total hours of staffing needed during the course of the school year. The District reserves the right to add or reduce the amount of staffing throughout the term of the contract. The District also anticipates needing security staffing for home football and basketball games. Occasionally, District Five Schools may recognize a need to utilize supplemental security resources. The need for these supplemental resources may be spontaneous and the contractor shall make every reasonable effort to accommodate those requests that may be made with short notice. Furthermore, the need for supplemental security resources may be short or long term in nature and include, but are not limited to, the following security services: o Extracurricular activities - sporting events, assemblies, board meetings, summer school, etc. o Traffic Control - Crossing guards, parking lot patrol o Emergencies Operations - The contractor will, to the degree possible, provide officers to assist District Five Schools in meeting its responsibilities during an emergency, declared or otherwise.
