1. Remove scrap material from Clemson University facilities as follows: a. Scrap material to be removed is limited to equipment and metal debris b. Scrap material to be removed is limited to those items actually presented to the contractor by Clemson University Surplus Property Division or the Clemson University Recycling Department. c. Scrap material to be removed must be removed "as is," either as isolated metal or metal attached and part ofother material, such as wood, plastic, laminates, etc., as found in desks, arm chairs, some appliances, computers, and other miscellaneous equipment and materials. d. Scrap material is to be removed within one (1) working day ofnotification unless otherwise agreed upon by Clemson University. e. It is understood that construction debris may be removed by another contractor under the terms of independent contracts. f. Access to University facilities is limited to 8:00 to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday, excluding campus holidays. 2. Contractor must periodically empty all contents ofthe scrap material bin at the ClemsonUniversity as notified by the ClemsonUniversity Surplus Property Division or the ClemsonUniversity Recycling Department. Facilities from which such scrap/material is to be picked up include accessible sites at Clemson University buildings located on the main campus. Contractor will not remove items containing fluid, oil, Freon, mercury, other chemicals or radioactivity unless approved by the UniversityDepartment ofEnvironmental Health and Safety. 3. Contractor staffing, facilities, and equipment must be capable ofthe following: a. Removing heavy items of property (up to and possibly exceeding four tons); b. Removing large quantities ofmetal and equipment from University facilities as defined above; c. Removing items requiring dismantling which may require cutting torches or other small tools; d. Preventing interference with University operations
