Scope-of-Work Requirements Standards: The work hereunder shall be done in a thorough workmanlike manner and conform to the following published standards: • ANSI A300 (Part 1) – 2017 Pruning • ANSI A300 (Part 7) – 2012 IVM • ANSI Z133-2017 Safety Requirements • ISA Best Management Practices – Utility Pruning of Trees • ISA Best Management Practices – Integrated Vegetation Management Second Edition Right-of-Way Definition: Electric right-of-way maintenance shall include adequate clearance of all active overhead utilities utilizing right-of-way, including clearing vegetation from poles, guy wires, and secondary conductors under primary lines. Crew Requirements: Price per hour: The tree crew will normally work (unless otherwise requested by the City) 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, year-round. The contractor will follow the City’s observed holiday calendar and may only work on holidays by emergency request. To perform the services outlined below, contractor shall maintain a two-person crew consisting of a Climbing Foreman and a Groundsman. Periodically, a three-person crew will be needed for safety and other special requirements (flagging operations, etc.). Please provide individual pricing structures for each crew member on the bid form. The following equipment (or equivalent to) is required to be kept with the crew at all times: a 55’ ft. or greater bucket truck equipped with 12 cubic foot dump body, chipper, with a winch, rated at 18” inch capacity or larger, and all equipment necessary for pruning and removals (sometimes in excess of 36” inches DBH). • Individual work orders typically consist of tree removals and pruning at specific locations on request. • The crew will perform right-of-way pruning or clearing for new construction and individual work orders. • The contractor should make an attempt to notify the customer the day that the ticket work is scheduled to be performed. • The crew will be managed and supervised multiple times throughout the day by the City Electrical Superintendent. • A Crew Manager shall be responsible for each contract crew member. The Crew Manager shall be an ISA Certified Arborist or ISA Certified Utility Specialist. Include a copy of the certification with the bid. • The crew will report start and end times each day. • Contractor shall be responsible for all services and supplies necessary to effectively perform the tree
