Specifications include, but are not limited to:Introduction The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Marine Resources Division (SCDNR, MRD) is seeking quotes for the hauling, repairing and repainting of the R/V Lady Lisa, a cypress planked, wooden hull, St. Augustine Trawler, 75' x 20.5' x 9.1', weighing approximately 100 tons. Contractor shall supply shore power requirements of 220 volts, single phase, 100-amp service. The vessel will be delivered to and removed from Contractor’s boat yard by the SCDNR, MRD vessel captain. The vessel captain will examine yard work progress on a daily basis for compliance with scope of work requirements. Contractor will be held responsible for any damages incurred to vessel during haul and launch process and while in yard for repairs and repainting. 1. Provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to haul or lift vessel from water via railway or dry-dock. Travel lifts will not be accepted for vessel removal from water. 2. Pressure wash hull so as to remove barnacles, slime and any bottom fouling to allow for proper hull inspection. 3. Inspect entire hull, including all fiberglass, worm shoe, and entire keel for damage. Report any damage to SCDNR, Director of Vessel Operations for determination of action to be taken. 4. Clean and inspect shaft, cutlass bearing, rudder, rudder shoe, rudder cutlass bearing, and rudder stock. Report any damage to SCDNR, Director of Vessel Operations for determination of action to be taken. 5. Inspect propeller and report findings to SCDNR, Director of Vessel Operations. If reconditioning is advised removal, reconditioning and replacement will be treated as “additional work” and must be approved and proper documentation to procurement provided prior to any additional work being started. 6. Fabricate and attach stainless steel guard (35ft) covering starboard rub rail to prevent future wear on same. Stainless steel guard is to be fabricated to match existing stainless-steel guard on port and starboard rub rail, which is 4” x ¼” stainless flat stock. 7. Sand, prime and paint white (International semi-gloss or equivalent) and gray (Petit Easypoxy 3711 Platinum) paint on waist and paint white from waterline up to cap-rail. Paint around names on bow and remove plexiglass name plate on stern so as to paint under it. Replace name plate after painting stern white. 8. Paint underwater body to top of water line with two coats of International Antifouling #1605 paint or antifouling paint of vendor's choice whereas quality, color and specifications are equal to preferred paint. Cayenne pepper, supplied by SCDNR, MRD, is to be added to the second coat of bottom paint.
