1. Cut, rake and remove all brush, small trees, herbaceous vegetation (grass), and pine needles within a ten (10’) foot radius around the flagged RCW cavity tree. 2. Cut all brush, herbaceous vegetation (grass), and small trees to ground level not to exceed one-quarter inch (1/4") in height within the ten (10’) foot radius circle. 3. Remove all debris within the ten (10’) foot radius circle by raking or blowing. Scatter debris outside the cleared circle. 4. Scatter cuttings and pine straw to prevent piles of debris around the edge of the cleared zone (circle). 5. Avoid root damage of the RCW cavity tree by not digging into the soil and root zone. 6. No large equipment will be parked in the colony site. 7. Any tree that is cut will be felled away from the cavity tree to avoid damage to the cavity tree. 8. The contractor may use UTV’s as a mode of travel only on established woods roads or gated roads to gain access to the RCW cluster. No off roading is allowed. 9. The contractor shall provide hand tools, brush cutters, chainsaws, weed eaters, blowers, or any other equipment the contractor prefers to use to accomplish the required specifications. Contractor shall furnish all fuel, oil, grease, repairs, and pay any other expenses incidental to the operation of the equipment. 10. The contractor shall provide a handheld GPS unit to locate cavity trees. The GPS unit must be accurate to within a minimum of 50 feet. 11. The contractor shall, considering given resource objectives for the work unit, develop a plan of operation to accomplish these objectives, and organize and direct all of the equipment and personnel needed to fully accomplish the work. The contractor shall furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete the work required.
