Specifications include, but are not limited to: The awarded vendor will provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to accomplish the loading of purchased shucked oyster shells into SCDNR contractor’s trucks. The awarded vendor’s loader shall have a bucket capacity of no less than 2 yards. SCDNR contractor’s trucks will have no less than 30 yards capacity (660 bushels) with possible up to 50 yards capacity (1100 bushels). SCDNR contractor’s truck must be loaded in a timely manner, within 30 minutes per truck upon arrival at loading facility. Conversion factors for shell amounts: 22 bushels per one cubic yard. Schedule for pick up and loading of purchased shucked oyster shell will be determined based on number of SCDNR contractor’s trucks available at time of purchase. Amounts of shell will be counted upon arrival at select SCDNR facilities and vendor will submit and invoice for payment based on per bushel amounts delivered. Vendor will be paid for total amount of bushels of shucked shell delivered and not till all shell is delivered. Hauling of oyster shells will be provided by a SCDNR contractor. Shell must be loaded by the vendor into trucks provided by SCDNR contractor to be delivered to locations within South Carolina.
