Georgetown County School District is seeking Bids from Bidders with demonstrated qualifications and experience to maintain and improve the District’s athletic fields. Services shall include, but are not limited to, balanced fertilization, insecticides, herbicides, disease control, top dressing installation, dethatching, aerification, overseeding, blanket fire ant and mole cricket controls, irrigation, and baseball/softball infield restoration. The Contractor will be responsible for furnishing all necessary labor, tools, equipment, materials and services (unless otherwise specified) to provide turf care for Andrews High School, Carvers Bay Early College Career High School, Georgetown High School, and Waccamaw High School game fields and practice fields as listed herein. Specifications and guidelines are intended for the purpose of establishing a minimum standard. The Contractor will be responsible for the results and must make necessary modifications to ensure a healthy, safe, durable, and visually appealing turf system. Any additional turf maintenance required by the District shall be provided on an as-needed basis utilizing the cost format on the Bidding Schedule – Supplemental Unit Pricing – Page 2. The information being provided is the initial and known needs. The Contractor will be required to submit in writing individual quotes for any relevant field maintenance service or product needs. Service locations are public and extremely sensitive to disruption. Contractor must ensure the general public and user’s safety when performing services in and around all locations.
