RCSD1 seeks an experienced and reliable vendor to remove and dispose of bulk items. These items are deemed to be “junk” and approved for disposal. The qualified firm will provide an appropriately sized crew olaborers with a supervisor on site to remove items from classrooms or offices, load those items, and dispose of those items in accordance with all federal, state, and local rules and regulations. The vendor will incur all costs related to these activities to include any tippage fees related to landfill disposal. The District requires a vendor that can scale labor, manage that labor on site, and transport large items for disposal. Examples projects would be a full school furniture replacement project that will require removal of desks, chairs, filing cabinets, tables, and other like items. Items will be loaded on approved transport and disposed of or recycled in an environmentally responsible manner. Projects may involve thousands of individual items requiring multiple crews and transports. The vendor will safely remove items without damaging any walls, doors, windows, or other furnishings within the workspace. Segregation of items by recyclable and non-recyclable shall occur if applicable. Due care should be taken to minimize distraction to on-site personnel or students, if they are present. All activities shall be coordinated with the District project manager.
