• Represent the Port Royal Police Department in criminal and traffic cases before the Port Royal Municipal Court, which convenes 5 days per month; Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00 PM and one Wednesday monthly at 4:00 PM, with quarterly trial terms. • Serve as trial counsel, including witness preparation, review of evidence, research, discovery, and drafting of legal motions. • Negotiate plea agreements where appropriate. • Attend all assigned court sessions until adjournment or excusal by the Judge or Police Department. • Avoid conflicts of interest involving Town of Port Royal criminal matters. • Provide monthly invoices itemizing case numbers, hours worked, and services performed. • Submit quarterly reports summarizing total cases handled, hours worked, and case dispositions. • Supply their own phone, laptop, and office supplies.
