Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. DESCRIPTION: The motor grader shall be the articulated frame, tandem-drive type, mounted on six pneumatic rubber tires. The motor grader shall be designed for ditching, sloping, bank cutting, grading, scarifying and snow removal. The grader shall be new, unused and of a model in current production. b. OPERATING WEIGHT: The operating weight shall be a minimum 37,000 pounds without tire ballast, scarifier or additional counterweights. c. ENGINE: The grader shall have a heavy-duty, in-line six cylinder, turbo charged tier 4 final diesel engine with a minimum net SAE horsepower of 215. The engine shall be equipped as follows: 24 volt electrical system with alternator; starter; voltage regulator and heavy duty battery Alternator: minimum 50 amps Fuel tank: minimum 90 gallons An SCR(Selective Catalyst Reduction) exhaust system shall be provided with exhaust turnout. Engine vandal protection: including side shields and locks Heavy duty radiator and cooling system, with 50-50 mixture of water and permanent type antifreeze
