Box 21398 Columbia, SC 29221 Licenses/Registration The Security Agency and security officers performing services pursuant to this bid package and specifications shall be licensed or registered in accordance with S.C. Code of Laws 1976 Title 40, Sec 40-17-10, Private Detective and Private Security Agencies Act. Each security officer shall be required to maintain a current permit, at no cost to the officer or the college, to carry firearms in accordance with the law. Verification of compliance with the law shall be furnished upon request. The Security Agency awarded the contract shall submit, prior to start date, a list of all security officers assigned to this contract along with registration/identifications cards as approved/provided by SLED. Northeastern Technical College requests that current officers and supervisors be given priority in hiring of personnel and remain in their current positions in rank and responsibility. The vendor will be responsible for any and all training and trainer personnel costs in the event of current officer(s) replacement within this period with no interruption of service to the college. Contractor must verify past employment records, and conduct background investigations on all new employees who will be used at Northeastern Technical College campus prior to their assignment. A copy of the background investigation will be given to the Human Resource Director. Security Agency Office The vendor shall meet all of the requirements established by law for the operations of a private security business in the State of South Carolina and shall possess a current license issued by the State of South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. The business office shall be properly equipped and staffed to carry out all normal business functions and shall establish any additional means as may be necessary to fulfill the terms and conditions of the written agreement. Security Coverage Security coverage is defined as prevention of loss of property or harm to personnel by monitoring for fire, theft, vandalism or unauthorized persons conducting themselves in an unsafe manner.
