Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State desires to establish a Managed Security Services (MSS) agreement with industry recognized Providers to enhance and augment its ability to deliver security monitoring, firewall management and maintenance, threat management and incident investigation services to the State agencies within its jurisdiction. The State has classified the MSS requirements into 7 scope areas, and would like to invite Providers to submit their response to this RFQ with specific information justifying their qualification to bid for the specified scope areas. The primary objective for establishing the MSS agreement is to enable the State to establish reliable and auditable information security controls for the State agencies’ IT systems and data, and reduce risks from information security threats such as hacks and breaches that result in loss of sensitive and confidential State data. Service Objectives The State’s strategic objectives for the initiative to establish a MSS agreement with a Provider are: Enhance its ability to deliver security services to agencies including integrating US government classified threat intelligence into the State’s security monitoring and threat management processes. Use the Provider’s resources to help scale security services to meet the growing demand of such services from agencies and industrialize day-to-day operations. Access to qualified security professionals to deliver enhanced operational security services. Leverage innovative use of leading edge security technologies and methodologies from a Service Provider with skill and experience in the State government domain. Enhance its ability to integrate information security services to State agencies.
