Main Medium Voltage Electrical Preventive Maintenance & Transformer Bushing Leak Repair One day, turnkey. PM of MV Equipment Vendor shall provide technicians, tools, and test equipment to perform preventive maintenance services on the main medium voltage switch lineup at the Leath Correctional Institution. Equipment will be thoroughly cleaned, including wiping down all insulators and vacuuming the interior of the equipment. All mechanisms will be properly lubricated, and all switch contact surfaces will be cleaned with denatured alcohol and relubricated with proper lubrication. The equipment being maintained includes the following: 3 S&C 15KV Standard Metal Enclosed Switches Padmount Transformer Bushing Leak Repair Transformer will have been de-energized, disconnected, isolated and grounded. Bushing Leak Repair Drain oil into vendor supplied oil containment, to permit access to transformer internals. Remove access cover plate Repair bushing by re-gasketing with vendor provided new gasket material Replace disturbed access cover gasket using vendor supplied new gasket material. Apply +5 psi (or below unit max pressure) and snoop units for leaks If no leaks are found, reduce headspace pressure to +1 psi. Re-fill the transformer with vendor supplied new mineral oil (up to 55 gallons included in the quoted price) Notes: Should it be determined that additional replacement parts are required, this is to be brought to the immediate attention of SCDC personnel. Costs for such shall be quoted before any additional repair or replacements are completed. Air Switches: Medium-Voltage, Metal-Enclosed Visual and Mechanical Inspection Document equipment nameplate data on test report. Inspect physical and mechanical condition. Confirm correct application of lubricants at manufacturer’s recommended locations. Verify appropriate anchorage and required area clearances. Verify appropriate equipment grounding. Verify tightness of accessible bolted electrical connections by calibrated torque-wrench method. Check all interlocking systems for correct operation and sequencing, and key distribution, if applicable. Verify correct phase-barrier materials and installation. Inspect all indicating and control devices for correct operation.
