A. Lock Installation and Repair 1. New Lock Installations- Contractor shall install standard, high-security, or specialized locks (e.g. deadbolts, mortise locks, cylindrical locks, smart locks) across classrooms, administrative offices, hallways, and exterior doors. Contractor shall ensure that the locks meet the District’s safety and security standards required by local regulations (e.g., fire safety codes, ADA compliance). All lock hardware installed shall match the existing brand and series currently in use across the district: - Mortise locks shall be Corbin Russwin ML2000 series - Cylindrical locksets shall be Corbin Russwin CLX3300 series - Panic/Exit Devices shall be Corbin Russwin ED5200 series. 2. Lock Keying & Re-Keying- Contractor shall key and re-key locks as needed to provide updated access control for faculty, staff, and students. - Contractor shall have demonstrated experience with the Corbin Russwin HO series keyway. - Contractor shall cut keys based on key code. - Contractor shall rekey Master Lock padlock cylinders to specified keys per district’s designee. - All keys must be Corbin Russwin. - Issuance of new keys shall be to authorized personnel only. 3. Lock Repair- Contractor shall diagnose and repair malfunctioning or damaged locks to ensure proper function. B. Door Hardware Installation and Repair 1. Door Handles, Levers, and Knobs- Contractor shall install ADA-compliant door handles and levers in all school buildings as-needed to ensure accessibility for students, staff, and visitors with disabilities. When necessary, Contractor shall repair or replace existing door hardware to improve accessibility and security. Contractor shall ensure that the hardware installed meets the District’s safety and security standards required by local regulations (e.g., fire safety codes, ADA compliance). 2. Panic Hardware- Contractor shall install panic bars or exit devices on doors leading to emergency exits, ensuring compliance with local and life safety codes. Contractor shall repair and test existing panic hardware to ensure proper function, especially in high-traffic areas such as cafeterias, gyms and auditoriums. i. Door Pulls and Push Bars- Contractor shall install door pulls and push bars on exterior doors and emergency exit doors to provide easy access during emergencies. Contractor shall ensure that all hardware is properly aligned and functional to prevent delays during emergency evacuations.
