Recirculation and Turnover System • Design for a 6-hour turnover rate at a minimum of 291 GPM • Current filters (2 TR-140C units) provide only 280 GPM → insufficient • Evaluate and size compliant filtration system with proper media • Provide filter media replacement specifications (if applicable) 2. Pumps and Suction Piping • Specify new pool pumps capable of achieving 291 GPM • Replace undersized skimmer piping (currently 3" and 1½" – non-compliant) • Main drain piping (4") is acceptable and may be retained • Label suction-side piping for flow direction and system identification per code 3. Deck Demolition and Reconstruction • Design for removal and reconstruction of cracked, uneven, or non-compliant deck areas • Include ADA-compliant access routes, steps, and handrails • Ensure proper drainage, slope, and integration with new mechanical system placement • Restore perimeter fencing and safety features as required 4. Disinfection and Chemical Systems • Provide separate disinfection and recirculation systems for main pool and kiddie pool • Chlorination system for the main pool must produce at least 10.5 pounds of chlorine per 24 hours • Evaluate and improve ventilation and lighting for chemical storage room and equipment room • Specify backflow prevention devices in accordance with ASSE 1024 standards 5. Kiddie Pool (Include Two Options) • Option A – Retain: Design complete, separate recirculation and disinfection system for kiddie pool per DHEC code • Option B – Remove (Deductive Alternate): o Design for complete demolition of kiddie pool o Include backfill, piping closure, and deck restoration to match surrounding area o Include cost-saving option as part of alternate bid line item...
