Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Housing Authority of Lancaster is now accepting bids for lawn service/landscaping at both Caroline Courts and Frank L. Roddey Homes. Specifications for services to be provided are as follows: 1. Mow all grass areas when initial grass growth reaches 4". Cutting height must be no longer than 2".Trash, limbs, rocks, and debris must be picked up before mowing 3. Edging and trimming of grass around buildings, trees, shrubs, posts, fences, sidewalks, porches, curbs, structures, and the like as needed. 4. Spraying of sidewalk cracks and plantings as needed 5. Debris must be removed from parking lots, sidewalks, porches, curbs after each mowing 6. Pruning of all shrubs and trees as required to maintain longevity and control growth. 7. Growth on bank areas behind 600 through 1200 buildings at Caroline Courts must be cut to a 6" height at least four (4) times annually 8. Growth in the playground areas at Caroline Courts must be cut once per month during growing season 9. Plant up to 10 flats of annuals and 10 ornamental perennials at entrance to property sign and administration building main entrance area. 10. Hardscape edging (trenching) around mulch beds to prevent mulch from running out onto sidewalks and/or grassy areas. 11. Remove old mulch when beds are getting too high in order to maintain sharp edging lines. 12. Refresh ground cover in all playground areas annually in the springtime with all-natural dye and chemical free covering. 13. Rake and remove all leaves and limbs at least four times annually during fall/winter months. 14. Any damage done to property, including tenant property must be reported. Care shall be taken when weed whacking around HVAC units, siding, wires, corner, etc. 15. All lawn areas, shrubs and trees must be fertilized with 16-4-8 50% UF slow release annually. 16. Resident safety must be prime concern. Equipment must be operated in a safe manner, avoid mowing around residents where rocks may be thrown from equipment and adhere to stringently adhere to recognized mowing standards
