The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) requires access to Google Maps Platform (GMP) services under the GMAPS-Core Services designation to support public-facing and internal transportation systems. These services must support scalable and resilient access to Maps, Routes, and Places APIs for everyday use and emergency response scenarios, including severe weather events and hurricane evacuations. To support these services, the agency requires access to the Google Maps Platform (GMP), specifically Maps, Routes, and Places APIs, under the GMAPS-Core Services designation. SCDOT has a variety of applications that depend on Google Maps and associated services. SCDOT is seeking to purchase credits so we can operate Google Maps Platform – Core.
