The City of Florence Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department is seeking qualified firms to provide comprehensive design and construction services for a new indoor sports arena to be located across the street from the existing Pearl Moore Basketball Center. The project’s goal is to expand the City’s capacity to host regional and state-level basketball and volleyball tournaments, youth leagues, and community events while maintaining architectural and operational consistency with the existing facility. The total project budget is approximately $6 million, and the facility should be designed to accommodate up to 1,500 spectators. The selected firm will be responsible for delivering a turnkey facility inclusive of design, engineering, permitting, and construction. The scope of work shall include, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Site Preparation and Infrastructure • Conduct all necessary site and geotechnical assessments to verify existing conditions and inform design. • Complete site clearing, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility connections. • Coordinate vehicular and pedestrian circulation, parking, and site lighting with the Pearl Moore Basketball Center to ensure cohesive access and operations. • Provide landscaping, sidewalks, and signage consistent with City standards and the surrounding park environment. 2.
