Specifications include, but are not limited to: The library is seeking an objective and independent consultant to conduct an external assessment of technical services functions. Specifically, issues in the Acquisitions and Cataloging units include transitioning traditional library functions, physical re-location, evolving new roles and developing operational priorities related to timely processing protocols, nonMARC metadata, ILS, collection management issues, and augmenting electronic resource management. The overall goal of the assessment is to increase workflow efficiencies to such an extent that the library has significantly greater capacity to manage and integrate electronic resource management, RDA and metadata descriptive processes, and exploit the full value of its Millennium ILS while positioning the librarys technical services operations to meet new challenges in a dynamic environment.
