Servicing o Annual inspection and maintenance of fire extinguishers o Recharging of fire extinguishers o Hydrostatic testing, six-year maintenance and re-charging of fire extinguishers o Responsible for recording all changes made in the field. o Complete the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) mandated annual maintenance inspection of the portable fire extinguishers within 12 months of the previous annual inspection. In addition to the manufacturer's specifications, Company service technician must inspect extinguishers in order to meet the requirements of NFPA 10 Standard for Portable Fire Extinguisher Systems for any discrepancies, a discrepancy report must be generated for the fire extinguishers that cannot be inspected or that needed to be remounted. The report must be provided in Microsoft Word or a compatible report and must be emailed to the designated City Contract Representative. o For any deficiencies, when a deficiency related to the pre-determined criteria is identified during inspection, the Company must immediately replace the fire extinguisher with the same type and size. o Upon completion of all inspections and service work, the Company's service technician shall provide to the City a service ticket that contains the contract number and total number of fire extinguishers inspected. o Company is responsible for removing all expired label.
