Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The Department of Hematology/Oncology is requesting the purchase of a custom antibody phage display library derived from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). Cell Origins is the only provider capable of constructing this phage library using PBMCs collected from cancer patients at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). They hold exclusive and valid ownership of the intellectual property associated with this custom library. This project is part of ongoing research that continues work previously conducted at the Mayo Clinic, where initial findings were published. Changing vendors at this stage would jeopardize the continuity of the research. Therefore, MUSC is declaring this purchase as a Sole Source.
