Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of San Luis Obispo Utilities Department is requesting proposals from consultants whocan provide professional guidance and oversight of its community information and outreachproject for its water conservation and stormwater pollution prevention programs. The goal is todevelop an ongoing program that offers information in meaningful forms to all segments of thecommunity, and invites feedback on both its programs and its information strategies. While theUtilities Department has an expectation to be innovative and technologically current, it isseeking real value--maximum benefit from the least costly approach. The term of the contract isfor two years (November 2009 through November 2011) with a budget of, including paidadvertising, up to $35,000 for water conservation and up to $12,000 for the stormwatercomponents per year. There is an option to extend the contract two additional one year periodscontingent upon budget availability, meeting performance expectations, and upon approval ofthe City Manager
