Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful Offeror must be able to provide for the operation and management of Tega Cay Beach & Swim Center, to include the following: 1. Ensure that the facility is in operable condition prior to the published start date by performing the following: a. Inspect the pools and associated plumbing and advise the City of any defects and/or repairs needed. b. Pools are clean and chemicals at levels specified by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC). c. Check all equipment and facilities and advise the City of any needed supplies for repairs. d. Install ladder rails and guard chairs. e. Clean and arrange all pool furniture, reporting to the City any furniture that may need to be replaced or repaired. f. Arrange for and be present at inspection of the Pools by the SCDHEC personnel, as applicable. g. Obtain the necessary permits to operate the pools, the City shall pay for such permits. h. Install all signage around the pool deck that is required by SCDHEC. 2. Maintain water purity in conformance with SCDHEC regulations and standards and applicable laws. 3. Clean the restrooms daily when pool is open for operation to include: a. Checking cleanliness hourly b. Regularly cleaning sinks, countertops and toilets c. Stocking all required paper goods as needed d. Mopping floors, a minimum of once a week, additional mopping may be required as needed e. Emptying trash cans 4. Provide sufficient and appropriate staffing levels at all times of operation. a. The Tega Cay Beach & Swim Center is a swim at your own risk pool. b. Staffing requirements include (2) non-lifeguard staff members responsible for: i. Member check in ii. Testing and maintenance of chemicals iii. Specified custodial duties outlined in section 3 iv. General pool cleaning as necessary (vacuuming, clean skimmers, backwash, check filters, remove debris from surface) v. Deck cleaning as necessary (removal of debris, trash) vi. Furniture (cleaning tabletops, ensure furniture is returned to designated locations, open and close umbrellas for pool opening and closing) 5. Perform end of season closing and winterization, to include the following: a. Prepare an accurate inventory of equipment and supplies and store equipment and supplies b. Drain and lubricate all pumps c. Uncover and drain strainer and chemical feeders d. Drain all re-circulating and vacuum lines that require draining e. Backwash and drain filters f. Clean and remove all weirs and skimmer baskets g. Store testing equipment and supplies and first aid equipment h. Clean and store chlorinators i. Remove and store ORP and PH sensors j. Open to ¾ maximum all valves that are required to be opened k. Store ladders, guard chairs and pool furniture. l. Install and maintain algae control.
