The Contractor shall provide aquatic management services on a monthly or quarterly basis as determined by the District. These services shall include but are not limited to the following: ● Algae and aquatic plant control ● Border grass, and brush control, to include cat tails and other invasive species, to water’s normal water (permanent pool) line (to include two feet above water line around entire pond). A dye must be used when treating the border grass and other weeds along waters edges so that treatment it is visible. This also includes cat tails. ● Alcoves, docks, inlets, and outlets need 6’ clearance of no vegetation ● Invasive shoreline grasses ● Dry pond – must be kept completely bare (Not necessary, invasive species need to be controlled) ● Water testing ● Detailed field report – Problem areas above the scope of this contract should be noted. Report shall be submitted to the District’s Office of Buildings and Grounds within 24 hours of service. Detailed field reports must accompany monthly invoice. Invoices will not be processed until field reports are received. Photos required with field report with time/date stamp. ● Visual trash removal from control structures, inlets and outlets required during inspection ● Water testing and bacteria monitoring will be conducted at each site for the specific purpose of improving the water management program. ● Vendor has 48 hours, upon notification from the district, to correct visually impaired surfaces, i.e. excess algae. Field report will be required with this service. Report shall be submitted to district Office of Buildings and Grounds. Additional services required on an as need basis ● Professional consulting ● Additional Pond checks above and beyond the regular maintenance schedule described in the contract. This service will be on an as needed basis with District approval. ● Stocking ponds with fish. ● The use of fish or algae eating bacteria to aid in ponds maintenance. ● The use of aeration by using fountains or other aeration devices. ● Treatment of ditches and right-of-way fence lines with chemicals. Dye must be used to show visible sign of treatment.
