To expand the Science building by adding 3 additional laboratories and renovate the existing science building and modernize the lab spaces. The new labs provided needed space for environmental work in biology and chemistry and applied research. The interior renovation for the existing science building will include renovations to labs, new hoods, plumbing and mechanical systems, and finishes. This renovation will address the issues of occupancy efficiency, safety/hygiene, learning pedagogy, structural issues and provide the space required to increase programs and external collaborative applied research deliverables. The renovations will also provide more efficient-sized offices, allowing faculty to move out of temporary offices into expensive lab spaces. The proposal addresses a few infrastructure issues such as HVAC and elevator issues common among buildings of this age. Total project funding is $8.35M
