Description

Warwick Public Schools is seeking proposals from qualified entities for Professional Moving & Storage Services for the Warwick Area Career and Technical Center (WACTC).
This project will have multiple phases, spanning over the next 3 years. This project will include a two-year contract, beginning in June 2026, with a possibility of a third-year renewal.
Phase one of this project will include professional moving and storage services for the lower level of the WACTC. These services would include relocating items from the lower level at the WACTC into storage containers, which are to be supplied by the winning bidder and located onsite at the WACTC. This phase of the project will start on Thursday, June 18th, 2026.
Then, in mid-to-late August 2026, the same contents being stored in the onsite units will need to be moved back into the Lower Level of the WACTC. Phase two of this project will take place in the Summer of 2027. This phase will be for emptying the entire building into onsite storage units in June 2027, and then back into the building in mid-to-late August 2027.

Moving Timeline:

June 18th, 2026: Lower Level of WACTC - emptied and moved to onsite (vendor-supplied) storage units
Mid to Late August 2026: Lower Level of WACTC - move from onsite (vendor-supplied) storage units back into the lower-level classrooms
June 2027: WACTC (Entire Building) - emptied and moved to onsite (vendor-supplied) storage units
August 2027: WACTC (Entire Building) - move from onsite (vendor-supplied) storage units back into the lower-level classrooms
Summer 2028: Possible third-year project, dependent on construction timelines

There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting held onsite on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025, at 2:30 PM.
The site visit will be held at the Warwick Area Career and Technical Center (WACTC) located at 575 Centerville Road, Bldg 5, Warwick, RI 02886.
Organizations that do not attend will not qualify to submit a proposal. There will be a limit of two (2) personnel per organization for attendance at the pre-bid conference. All Bidders must attend to be eligible to submit a proposal for this solicitation.

Additional Bidding Instructions

All Bidders are to complete the Cost Proposal Form to include the following:

1. Items 1A - 1F: Hourly rates during normal business hours (Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm).

2. Items 2A - 2F: Hourly rates during overtime hours (Monday-Friday 5:01 pm - 7:59 pm and Weekends).

3. Items 3A - 3C: All unit price fees for all necessary packing materials.

4. Items 4A - 4G: Overall Project Costs for the move, if there are additional fees.

5. Item 5A: Cost per storage unit. This should be listed as the unit price per month for storage onsite at the WACTC.

6. Item 6A: Guaranteed Maximum bid price of the Phase I - Lower Level move and storage for the WACTC.

7. Please complete the bid cost proposal form and include any additional costs not listed.
