Specifications include, but are not limited to: Phase 2 will consist of: Graduate School of Oceanography (GSO) Space: 1. Ocean Frontiers building – new building, 44,500gsf 2. Watkins Building - renovations to existing building (code upgrades and new teaching lab; existing dry research labs to remain) 3. Sitework and Building Demolition Ocean Engineering (OE) Space: 4. Ocean Technology Center - renovations to existing building (interior renovations only) 5. Ocean Engineering Building – new building, 33,000gsf to include: a. Ocean Engineering Education and Research Center (OERC) b. Ocean Engineering Wave and Acoustic Laboratory (OEWAL) i. 100 meter wave tank 6. Sitework and Building Demolition Scope of Services (for full scope, please also see: Appendix B – Program Management Scope of Services) The selected firm shall provide qualified program management personnel who will reside on the University of Rhode Island Kingston campus during the design phase and on the Narragansett Bay campus during the construction phase. Assigned personnel shall provide project team leadership, management and technical expertise, and coordination of the projects. The Campus Design office and the Capital Projects (construction management) office will provide regular executive-level direction and support throughout all phases of the project. The OPM will report to the Associate Director of Campus Design during the design phase and to the Associate Director of Capital Projects during the construction phase, including procurement. All parties shall remain in close communication through each phase. The Program Manager is to provide a regular presence onsite for maximum effectiveness and efficiency. All work shall be completed in collaboration with and at the direction of university representatives in a team environment. The University shall be copied on all communications from the OPM. The Program Management team shall provide comprehensive coordination of project activities to ensure that the responsibilities by the appropriate parties are undertaken in a manner that serves and protects the university’s best and overall interest.
