Specifications include, but are not limited to: RIAC owns two (2) 2.9 MG concrete tanks used to store storm water containing spent aircraft deicing fluid. The tanks were constructed in 2014. The manufacturer recommends inspection every five (5) years. RIAC is seeking qualified firms to provide visual and non-destructive testing of the exterior and interior of the tanks to ensure stability, structural integrity, and to prevent leaks. The selected vendor shall provide a report for each tank certified by a Professional Engineer licensed in Rhode Island. The report shall include a summary of findings, detailed documentation of testing and inspection (pictures, test results, etc.), and recommendations including probable opinion of costs. RIAC expects to complete inspection of one tank prior to December 20, 2019, and the second tank will be inspected prior to November 1, 2020, or as otherwise agreed upon by RIAC. Dates may be subject to change and will be indicated in the associated Task Order.
